Fishing near me: A map-based fishing search for the UK
The interactive map below and its filters are designed so you can easily find the fishery you’re looking for. This should allow you to get the most out of your fishing by targeting the exact location you’re looking for. Without having to trawl multiple pages, you can filter the map by fishery type, species, on-site facilities and ticket. The map should automatically pan to your location, however, you can use the location search or pan to a different area if required. Choosing the fullscreen icon at the top left-hand side will enable you to conduct your search even easier seeing all fisheries on a bigger map.
Are you a fishery owner and wish to become listed on The Fishing Index? Whilst we are constantly looking to develop the site, you can support us by submitting your fishery or letting us know when you see any errors. This will ensure visitors get the best experience whilst giving exposure to your business. Get in touch using the contact us link found at the bottom of this page.
You must have a rod fishing licence for England and Wales if you’re fishing for salmon, trout, freshwater fish, smelt or eel with a rod and line in: England (except the River Tweed), Wales and the Border Esk region, including the parts of the river that are in Scotland. Children under 13 do not need a licence. Whilst children aged between 13 and 16 are free, you’ll still need to get a junior licence.
You can get a fine of up to £2,500 if you’re fishing in these areas and cannot show a valid rod fishing licence when asked.
